BayMark Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Dispensing Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care and medication management services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Ensure that physicians' medication orders are accurately and timely implemented, including delivery to outside facilities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that medical services are in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Team Management: Delegate tasks to certified nursing assistants, medication technicians, or unlicensed personnel who are competent to perform those tasks.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with the Nursing Supervisor regarding potential issues.
- Scheduling and Meetings: Schedule and participate in treatment teams, panel reviews, department head meetings, and general staff meetings.
- Nursing Team Management: Manage nursing team schedules, conduct performance improvement activities, and prepare monthly reports.
- Clinical Complaints and Crisis Situations: Review and resolve client clinical complaints and intervene in crisis situations.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Licensure: Licensed in Maryland as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with 3-5 years of experience.
- Experience: Prior experience in substance abuse, mental health treatment, or addiction medicine is preferred.
- Record Keeping and Compliance: Accuracy of record keeping with understanding of HIPAA, federal, state, and CARF standards and regulations.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Nursing Principles and Knowledge: Fundamental knowledge of professional nursing principles, techniques, basic addiction medicine science, and community health and welfare resources.
- Computer Proficiency: Computer proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Suite.
- Background Check: Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
