We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Specialty Unit team on a 13-week contract basis.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care, promoting continuity and coordination of patient care.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical or specialty unit.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Meditech or other electronic medical record systems.
  • Previous experience in a medical-surgical or specialty unit, with a focus on patient-centered care.
