About the Role

Cox Communications is seeking a highly skilled Product Security Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Product Security team, you will be responsible for driving the next evolution in securing our mobile products and protecting our customers from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic direction for product security initiatives.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure the security of our mobile products throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement security controls and risk management strategies to mitigate cyber threats.
  • Conduct security reviews and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to create action plans based on security review results.
  • Maintain relationships with technical product security testing teams and provide guidance on security procedures and directives.
  • Drive integration of product security initiatives into relevant stages of the product development lifecycle.
  • Ensure information security artifacts align with industry standards or regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance on prioritizing cyber-risk remediation and mitigation activities.
  • Support efforts to maintain and report product security metrics throughout the development life cycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field + 6 years of relevant working experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with information security controls or security risk management.
  • 2+ years of experience in product development or product lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of Mobile security for Android or iOS operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge across the technology stack such as web protocols, multiple operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience with network or mobile security.
  • Experience conducting security product reviews.
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations.
  • Experience with both automated and manual secure code reviews.
  • Understanding of 'secure by design' principles and secure development.
  • Knowledge of current cybersecurity trends and remediation or mitigation approaches.
  • Certification related to information security and privacy (CSSLP, CISSP, etc.).
  • Experience releasing products that balance business objectives and technical features while mitigating cyber risk.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role is $106,700.00 - $177,900.00 per year. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement planning, and paid time off.
