We are seeking a compassionate Behavior Therapist to join our mission to provide high-quality services and support to individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work as a valued member of our therapy teams to provide individualized services to children with autism, working under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Behavior Therapist will provide one-on-one therapeutic care to clients in a home, school, clinic, and/or community setting, utilizing ABA principles as directed by the BCBA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement behavioral treatment plans and instructional plans using ABA principles.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for clients and families.
- Assist with supporting clients during times of challenging behaviors through the implementation of the client's behavior support plan.
- Partner with the Behavior Analyst to maintain ongoing communication with parents/caregivers regarding the client's progress and plan of care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to acquire RBT certification within 45 days of hire date, with training provided by Surpass Behavioral Health.
- Prior professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting is a plus.
- Works with integrity and adheres to the BACB Ethical Code, HIPAA practices, and company policies.
