Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laser Scan Technician to join our team at Arcadis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating laser scanning equipment on job sites across the country, registering scans, and training junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate laser scanning equipment on job sites, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection.
  • Register scans and integrate data from multiple sources, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support office operations when not on job sites, contributing to the success of our team.
  • Travel frequently, up to 75% of the time, with short notice, and maintain a clean driving record.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in laser scanning or survey technology.
  • 1 year of experience in laser scan registration.
  • Semi-conductor, construction, engineering, architectural, survey experience, 3D design, 3D point clouds, point cloud registration, and/or education a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Great attitude, eagerness to learn, and a positive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to represent the company professionally when interacting with clients.
Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 50 pounds, with the ability to raise objects from lower to higher positions or move objects horizontally.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other elevated surfaces, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Balance on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces, with the ability to work at heights.
  • Wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including hardhats, safety gloves, safety glasses, face masks, and fall protection harnesses.
Working Conditions

Work in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, rain, snow, and windy conditions, with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
