Key Responsibilities:
- Procure and distribute drug orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Identify and fill replacement medications accurately, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction
- Prepare sterile products with precision, adhering to strict quality control standards
- Deliver medications and supplies accurately to patient care areas, promoting efficient patient care
- Rotate stock to maintain freshness and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Pick up orders and medications for return efficiently, minimizing delays and errors
- Enter charges and credits accurately, maintaining accurate financial records
- Identify and replace outdated drugs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science
- Previous pharmacy technician experience in a hospital setting, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail
- Current pharmacy technician license in the State of New Mexico, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
- National Pharmacy Technician certification is a plus, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field
- Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course, preferred for those with limited experience
