Job Title: Behavioral Health Care Advocate

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge healthcare setting, providing access to behavioral health services and crisis intervention for individuals in need. As a Behavioral Health Care Advocate, you will be responsible for providing clinical services, including triage, assessment, and intervention, as well as connecting individuals with community resources and support services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical services, including triage, assessment, and intervention, to individuals in crisis or in need of behavioral health support.
  • Connect individuals with community resources and support services, including mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
  • Document all interactions and services provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Meet individualized performance goals and participate in ongoing continuing education and cultural trainings.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a human services field, such as psychology, sociology, or a related field.
  • Active California license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Psychologist, or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • At least 2 years of post-graduate experience providing direct clinical services, including psychosocial assessments, individual therapy, substance use disorder treatment, and case management.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including those with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Community mental health experience.
  • Substance use disorder treatment experience.
  • Knowledge of managed care principles or managed care experience.
