Job Overview:
Ruggable is on the lookout for a seasoned and self-driven Creative Textile Artist to become a part of our Textile Design Team. This position requires a creative and meticulous individual who excels in time management, is proficient in Photoshop, and has a keen interest in rugs and interior design. The ideal candidate will demonstrate fluency in Adobe Photoshop, possess familiarity with Illustrator, exhibit strong drawing and fine art skills, and be enthusiastic about textile design while keeping abreast of home décor trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop contemporary textile designs that are relevant and trend-setting while maintaining the Ruggable brand's aesthetic.
- Collaborate with a talented group of designers and creative leaders, contributing to discussions regarding design iterations.
- Manage priorities effectively and meet deadlines; assist with team projects.
- Create cohesive and organized files and share them according to established specifications.
- Utilize your strong communication skills to listen, ask pertinent questions, and take effective action.
Essential:
- Exceptional Photoshop and technical design capabilities, including but not limited to: meticulous working techniques, file organization, and management.
- A commitment to seeing your team thrive and being a vital contributor to that success through collaboration and diligence.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism, with the ability to exercise discretion and self-reflection.
- Capacity to learn swiftly and demonstrate an understanding of creative leaders' expectations during reviews.
- Willingness to work in person at our designated offices each workday.
- Ability to work on-site at least three days per week.
- A strong interest or aptitude in home/interior design textiles, particularly in rug and carpet design.
- A portfolio showcasing traditional, Persian, or ornate rug or textile patterns/designs.
- Proficiency in additional design software, especially textile-specific programs (Fresco, Procreate, etc.).
- Base salary range of $66,560-$67,500 per year.
- An annual bonus percentage that varies based on role level.
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company-sponsored 401K plan.
