About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Field Data Collector to join our team at NORC at the University of Chicago. As a Field Data Collector, you will be responsible for conducting in-person interviews with participants in various locations. This is a great opportunity to work on a project-based basis and gain valuable experience in field research.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be comfortable meeting people in their homes or public spaces, and have prior experience in sales, teaching, healthcare, or customer service.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-person interviews with participants in various locations.
  • Gather survey data and physical measures for research on education, health, and aging.
  • Meet weekly requirements and manage your own schedule as a self-starter.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
  • Available to work a mix of weekdays and evenings/weekends.
  • Must be willing to drive 50-100 miles to complete required tasks.
  • Must attend one 7-day in-person training session in suburban Chicago.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to navigate technology and materials.
  • Comfortable with collecting physical measures and biological samples.
Benefits
  • $19.00 per hour, based on experience and location.
