Job Summary:

As a Lead Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences by sharing your passion for the Cafe with every interaction. You will coach, inspire, and support a team environment for baristas to grow and develop, ensuring the delivery of high-quality beverages and food products for memorable customer experiences.

You will work closely with the Cafe Manager to strategize and analyze team efforts, ensuring the achievement of sales goals and efficiencies. Your role will involve modeling the Cafe customer experience, ensuring consistent, friendly, personal service, and thoughtful recommendations.

You will also be responsible for ensuring a vibrant Cafe environment, welcoming to all customers, with a stocked bake case, neatly displayed merchandise, and a team that greets customers with a smile.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support positive sales results through efficient ordering and understanding of financial factors.
  • Coach and provide feedback to fellow baristas, in partnership with the Cafe Manager.
  • Solve problems efficiently and correctly, supporting others by removing obstacles.
  • Engage customers in the store by optimizing cafe sales initiatives.
  • Assist with visual merchandising standards and ensure correct execution of operational standards.
  • Protect company assets by ensuring accurate execution of loss prevention procedures.
  • Communicate collaboratively with the store team, upholding company values through fair and consistent feedback.

Requirements:

  • Understand the cafe business and what it takes to be profitable.
  • Exhibit solid knowledge of cafe business and operations.
  • Deliver excellent standards of service.
  • Demonstrate good decision-making.
  • Shift gears quickly, prioritize, and multi-task.
  • Show confidence and direct work with productive results.
  • Experience in training employees and ability to organize, plan, and prioritize workload.
  • Able to delegate and work through others, communicate effectively, and give feedback honestly and respectfully.
