Job Description

Noblis is seeking highly skilled Systems Engineers to join our team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Systems and Surveillance Services directorates within the Program Management Organization (PMO).

Responsibilities
  • Engage in systems engineering tasks involving design, development, testing, installation, implementation, integration, and transition of systems and components.
  • Assist the FAA in transitioning from current Air Traffic Control (ATC) capabilities to enhanced ATC techniques and NextGen capabilities.
  • Develop milestones for technical standards, surveillance-automation interfaces, aircraft separation standards, system safety and risk management plans, computer-human interface design, and system configuration baselines.
  • Provide technical assistance in planning, facility, and system development/integration activities.
  • Assist in the development and management of requirements, functional and performance system specifications, concepts of system operation, enterprise architecture products, requirements traceability matrices, functional decomposition matrices/trees, interface documents, and system test plans.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience with bachelor's degree in any engineering field.
  • Master's degree in related field may be substituted for bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience.
  • PhD in related field may be substituted for bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience.
  • Knowledge of FAA's Acquisition Management System processes and products.
  • Knowledge of NAS Enterprise Architecture.
  • Applied experience using System Architect, DOORS, CORE, and Cameo.
  • Experience in integrating new systems into the National Airspace System (NAS).
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in FAA's NAS modernization programs.
  • Model Based System Engineering/Digital Engineering.
