We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Enhance Recruiting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle electrical systems and applications, with hands-on experience in design, troubleshooting, and power management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and troubleshoot complete vehicle electrical systems, ensuring compatibility with OEM CAN bus systems.
- Program vehicle code parameters using OBD2 equipment.
- Create CAD models of vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses and connectors using SolidWorks.
- Understand and design wiring harnesses for various vehicle applications, adhering to MIL-SPEC electrical requirements.
- Develop complete vehicle electrical architecture, reviewing power requirements, alternator sizing, and system loads.
- Work with power management systems, including batteries, alternators, converters, and inverters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, but not required with relevant experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in vehicle applications and electrical system design.
- Strong understanding of OEM CAN bus systems and experience with OBD2 programming.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for CAD modeling of electrical systems.
- Knowledge of MIL-SPEC electrical requirements and connectors.
- Experience with power management systems, including batteries and alternators.
