Extrusion Operator

We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator to join our team at SIG Combibloc. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and tending film extrusion machinery, ensuring the production of high-quality products.

• Product Safety and Quality: Perform all work safely in accordance with personal and product safety rules, inspecting products for visual defects and completing inspection reports on a periodic basis.
• Production Operations: Pack all good products in designated manner, make boxes to be filled with production, count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled, complete daily production reports, and perform rework, sorting, and documentation of heldware.
• Maintenance and Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness of work areas in accordance with 5S and SQF guidelines, and operate automated equipment.
• Professional Development: Progress through the Scholle IPN Pay for Skills Program (skill development) and perform other duties as assigned.

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D required.
• Skills and Experience: Ability to work all shifts and perform overtime, ability to read and interpret documents, ability to write routine reports and correspondence, ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees, and basic skill knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, frequently standing, walking, and sitting, and frequently required use of hands to finger, feel, reach, or handle machinery.
