We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sealed Air Corporation. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our plant building and facilities to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of duties to repair and maintain the plant building and facilities, including plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work.
- Assist production when required to minimize production downtime.
- Support one or more buildings, with the ability to work at other sites as needed.
- Ability to install and repair steel pipe, PVC, copper, sewer, and natural gas lines.
- Competence in specifying plumbing fittings and fixtures with minimal support/supervision.
- Ability to install and repair ancillary equipment, including fabrication with sheet metal and carpentry.
- Qualification in Industrial Electricity, including the ability to install and repair panels, bus lines, and circuit breakers.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, including working with phone and data lines, 24VDC, 120VAC, 230VAC, and 460VAC 60/50HZ single phase and three phases.
- Strong electrical print and schematic reading abilities.
- Ability to work with a Volt/Multi Meter and Amp/Clamp Meter.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
