Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a technical roadmap for the Data Platform, aligning with business objectives and industry trends.
- Lead a team of senior engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements, ensuring seamless integration with other systems and services.
- Make informed decisions on build vs. buy strategies, vendor partnerships, and technology investments, balancing business needs with technical feasibility.
- Drive the development of scalable, fault-tolerant, and distributed systems, leveraging expertise in large-scale data-intensive applications.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and compliance, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and supportive work culture, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and across the organization.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 10+ years of industry experience, with 5+ years in an engineering management role.
- Extensive experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems in large-scale data-intensive applications.
- Strong technical expertise in data warehousing, data lake technologies, and related areas, such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Iceberg or Delta Lake.
