Job Overview

Position: Electrical Validation Engineer/PSV Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and have 2 to 3 years of relevant industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate a solid understanding of signal integrity principles, including insertion loss, reflections, and cross talk.
  2. Work effectively in a laboratory setting, utilizing various instruments such as Digital Storage Oscilloscopes (DSO), multimeters, and power supplies.
  3. Interpret and analyze board designs from schematics and layouts using tools like Cadence Allegro.
  4. Assemble and configure x86 motherboards, ensuring proper connections for components such as SMPS, DRAM, and PCIe devices.
  5. Follow board/chip bring-up procedures, verifying essential components and impedance of voltage rails.
  6. Exhibit proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems, along with Microsoft Office applications.
  7. Utilize scripting languages, such as Python or Perl, for automation and efficiency in tasks.
  8. Collaborate effectively within a team environment, taking initiative and responsibility for assigned tasks.
  9. Communicate findings and requirements clearly and concisely.
