Position: Electrical Validation Engineer/PSV Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and have 2 to 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of signal integrity principles, including insertion loss, reflections, and cross talk.
- Work effectively in a laboratory setting, utilizing various instruments such as Digital Storage Oscilloscopes (DSO), multimeters, and power supplies.
- Interpret and analyze board designs from schematics and layouts using tools like Cadence Allegro.
- Assemble and configure x86 motherboards, ensuring proper connections for components such as SMPS, DRAM, and PCIe devices.
- Follow board/chip bring-up procedures, verifying essential components and impedance of voltage rails.
- Exhibit proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems, along with Microsoft Office applications.
- Utilize scripting languages, such as Python or Perl, for automation and efficiency in tasks.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, taking initiative and responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Communicate findings and requirements clearly and concisely.
