Job Title: Assistant General ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at our Maplewood, NJ dispensary. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for effective performance management and execution of retail operations, including merchandising, staffing, and patient order fulfillment processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the General Manager to drive successful business management and financial performance of the dispensary.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Manage and train a team of retail staff to ensure excellent customer service and a positive patient experience.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
- Minimum of one (1) year of management experience in retail, restaurant, food, or other service industry with responsibility for financial results.
- Cannabis experience a major plus.
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills; empathy and understanding of your team; servant-leadership experience.
- Proven track record of working effectively with customers/patients (5+ years preferred).
- Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.
- Able to push, pull, lift, or move a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Capable of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, and/or walking for extended periods of time.
- Able to handle cash or card transactions with patients using an electronic processing system.
