Job Title: Histology Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technician to join our team at MUSC Health Charleston.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will possess a current state or equivalent compact license and have at least 2 years of recent HTs nursing experience as a Histology Technician. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform histology laboratory procedures, including tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning.
  • Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Current Resume
  • Nursing License per state
  • Current BLS and/or ACLS and/or Specialty Certifications
  • 2 current leadership references
  • Ability to pass background/urine drug screening
