Position Summary: We are currently in search of a motivated and enthusiastic individual to become a part of our dynamic team as a Construction Trainee.

Key Responsibilities: The Construction Trainee will oversee the new home building process within designated communities. The selected candidate will gain exposure to project planning, scheduling, quality assurance, and budget management. Responsibilities include ensuring timely delivery of homes while adhering to budget constraints and meeting customer quality standards upon completion. This is a temporary field role designed for the summer season, requiring flexibility to work across various locations.

Essential Duties:

  • Support project-related activities on construction sites, including evaluating project needs, implementing workflows, and assessing project outcomes.
  • Assist in gathering project data to develop timelines.
  • Help monitor and predict project expenses, including contracting costs and actual expenditures.
  • Participate in quality assurance assessments.
  • Contribute to contract management, project communications, and documentation control.
  • Comply with all safety regulations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
  • Availability for full-time work during the summer months.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
