Job Summary

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Field Support Technician to provide technical support on the waterfront for complex IT infrastructure including thin/thick-clients, domain servers, and databases.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in maintaining either or both CANES or GCCS-M systems with some experience occurring within the past 3 years.

This role involves troubleshooting and repairing IT related systems onsite, providing maintenance training to customer service representatives, and utilizing various operating systems to maintain infrastructure operation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Troubleshoot and repair IT related systems onsite.
  2. Provide onsite maintenance training to customer service representatives if required.
  3. Utilize Linux, Windows, and other operating systems as needed to maintain infrastructure operation.
  4. Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
  5. Perform set-up of administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate storage space.
  6. Interact with users and evaluates vendor products.
  7. Recommend the purchase of repair parts, coordinate their installation, and provide backup recovery.
  8. Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation of computing resources.
  9. Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of five years of recent experience in maintaining either or both CANES or GCCS-M systems with some experience occurring within the past 3 years.
  • CompTIA Security+ and SSCP certifications as a Level 2 IT Workforce Technician.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Willingness to work overtime and off shift when needed.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

The salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.
