We are looking for an experienced Naval Radio Network Technician to join our team at Solvere Technical Group in Norfolk, VA. The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year.

About the Job

This is a full-time position that involves supporting the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) at Naval Station Norfolk, VA. As a Naval Radio Network Technician, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining radio transceiver/receiver systems to include Digital Modular Radio, DAMA/MINI DAMA, HF, LF, SHR, and VLF systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test, troubleshoot, remove, rebuild, reinstall, and re-test common submarine radio room systems equipment and associated cabling.
  • Assist with the removal of obsolete equipment and the installation and testing of updated/upgraded CSRR units.
  • Provide analysis of antenna pattern field strength measurements.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
Requirements:
  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school and seven years of job-related experience.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Specialized experience: three years of full-time engineering experience in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, or repair of submarine electronics systems and equipment.
