We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in the care and support of our patients in the psychiatric unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care to patients, prioritizing their safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Assist the professional staff in the evaluation and care of patients, ensuring a collaborative and effective team approach.
- Support patients with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Apply physical restraints or assist with seclusion under the direct supervision of a physician or RN, as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Certificate Program in Certified Nursing Assistant or some college-level social science preferred.
- Less than 1 year of relevant experience required.
- Basic Life Support certification required upon hire; Certified Nurse Aide certification preferred.
- Must provide clearance per the Child Protective Services Law amended by PA Act 33 of 1985 upon hire.
