Role Summary:
Skyline Smyrna Hotel LP is in search of a dedicated and trustworthy Laundry Service Specialist to enhance our housekeeping department. The selected individual will be tasked with ensuring that all hotel linens, towels, and guest garments are laundered to the utmost standards. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to perform efficiently in a dynamic work environment.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Laundry Management:
    • Sort, wash, dry, and neatly fold linens, towels, and guest garments in accordance with hotel protocols.
    • Safely and effectively operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry apparatus.
    • Handle all fabrics with care to avoid any damage.
  • Supply Oversight:
    • Keep track of laundry supply inventory and communicate needs to the supervisor.
    • Assist in maintaining a tidy and organized laundry workspace.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Examine linens and towels for stains, tears, and wear; report any issues to the supervisor.
    • Ensure that all laundered items comply with hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in a laundry or housekeeping position is preferred.
    • Knowledge of laundry equipment and cleaning agents is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Physical endurance and capability to lift heavy items.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
