The successful candidate will remain flexible to changing systems, demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice, and treat colleagues, patients, families, and all members of the healthcare team with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership: The Emergency Room Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team, delegates tasks appropriately, and demonstrates accountability.
- Upholding Standards: The nurse upholds Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures, principles of responsibility, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
- Collaboration: The nurse works collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide patient-centered care, prioritizing effective communication and problem-solving.
- Patient Care: The nurse develops and implements individualized plans of care, ensuring that patient needs are met and that care is delivered in a timely and effective manner.
- Education and Training: The nurse participates in ongoing education and training, staying up-to-date on the latest clinical practices and technologies.
- Quality Improvement: The nurse contributes to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Current CA RN License: The nurse must hold a current California RN license.
- BLS Certification: The nurse must hold current BLS certification.
- Experience: The nurse must have at least 6 months of recent experience in ED or Critical Care, or successful completion of a KP ED training program or approved equivalent within the prior 12 months.
- ACLS and PALS Certification: The nurse must hold current ACLS and PALS certification.
