Job Summary

The Supervisory Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is a key member of the Diagnostic Imaging team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. This role requires a strong leader who can oversee the daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and departmental performance.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and quality of care.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Technologist and Administrative Officer to establish strategic goals and objectives for the department.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Participate in educational programs and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Must have a minimum of one year of experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist.
  • Must have advanced certification in radiologic technology, such as ARRT (R).
  • Must have a strong understanding of radiologic technology principles and practices.
  • Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The incumbent must be able to work effectively in a team setting and communicate clearly with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
