Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic quality imaging procedures for our patient care population.

Responsibilities
  • Operate modality-specific technical equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving, and computerized electronic medical records.
  • Update electronic medical records through order entry, exam scheduling, exam check-in, begin and end exams, exam verification, exam merging, and image rejection.
  • Provide radiologists and physicians with patient history relative to the exam being performed and obtain informed consent.
  • Assist radiologists, as required, in the administration of contrast media and/or radioisotopes during exams.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, sedation/anesthesia personnel, and all staff members to ensure a safe outcome for the patient.
  • Participate in department and modality-specific quality improvement initiatives, including ACR accreditation.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved educational program.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Computed Tomography (CT) program and eligibility for CT credential via ARRT (CT).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) credential in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
  • American Registry of Radiologist Technologists credential in Radiography (R).
  • Credential in Computed Tomography (CT) required no later than 12 months post-hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree.
  • Experience in pediatrics.
