Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) members with challenging veteran-care situations.
  • Provide leadership in identifying and addressing ethical issues impacting veterans and staff.
  • Initiate and participate in ethical consultations as appropriate.
  • Maintain complete veteran confidentiality.
  • Analyze ethical and care issues, applying appropriate theoretical principles, and ensure application of institutional policy.
  • Serve as a resource for the protection of veteran and family rights.
  • Provide considerate care respecting veteran and family value and belief systems.
  • Possess the ability to evaluate their practice through professional peer review, case conferences, and other organizational means.
  • Have primary knowledge of the use of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Must be able to pass a background/security investigation.
  • Must be able to serve a probationary period.
  • Must be able to participate in the seasonal influenza vaccination program and the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program.
Education and Licensure

A master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is required. Licensure or certification in a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level is also required.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
