Front Desk Agent Job Description

Job Summary:

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests and visitors at Rock Harbor Lodge. This role involves coordinating reservations, greeting and registering guests, assisting with guest requests, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets guests upon arrival and performs check-ins, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Books and processes lodging and activity reservations accurately.
  • Provides information to guests regarding property policies, activities, and the surrounding area.
  • Responds to and resolves guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns.
  • Answers and directs incoming calls, schedules wake-up calls, and responds to emergency situations.
  • Accurately posts room charges and checks out departing guests.
  • Prepares daily reports and ensures the front desk area remains clean and organized.
  • Handles lost and found items and maintains confidentiality of guest information.
  • Works extra shifts and hours as required and assists in other departments as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email, and radio.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and accounting skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Knowledge of surrounding facilities, activities, and features.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs occasionally, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a telephone and computer.
