Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a skilled Electrical Substation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our power distribution team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing substation equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and Maintain Substation Equipment: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of substation equipment, including transformers, regulators, load tap changers, circuit breakers, and bus work.
  • Operate and Test Substation Equipment: Conduct regular testing and maintenance on substation apparatus, including power factor, transformer turns ratio, and other analytical tests.
  • Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Maintain a safe working environment by following safety rules and practices, and encouraging safe work behaviors.
  • Work Independently and as a Team: Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks and projects, and work independently as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Substation Journeyman or Equivalent: A substation journeyman or equivalent experience is required for this position.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License: A Class A Commercial Driver's License is required for this position.
  • Physical Demands: The job duties of this position require lifting in excess of 75 lbs, carrying in excess of 75 lbs, and pushing and pulling in excess of 100 lbs of exertional force.
