Job Description

This fast-paced environment requires a Service Assistant to support the service team with the daily upkeep and maintenance of the community. You will be the primary associate responsible for ensuring vacant apartment homes are fully ready for their new residents. Your hard work helps residents and future residents feel at home by:

  • Preparing all vacant apartment homes in anticipation of their future residents
  • Inspecting work completed by vendors in units and reporting any issues to the Service Manager or Community Director
  • Routine inspections of the grounds and common areas to ensure the community looks its best
  • Assisting with pool cleaning and maintenance when necessary
  • Supporting the Service Team in completing resident and community service requests

You might be asked to assist in on-call or emergency service requests and participate in special projects assigned by the Service Manager to aid in your professional development.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • 1-3 years of hands-on general maintenance experience, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical knowledge, HVAC knowledge, painting experience, etc.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • A high school diploma, and bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
  • Ability to represent Kairoi in a professional manner at all times
