OUR DEPARTMENT:
Our internal medicine specialists, known as internists, primarily focus on adult care, addressing a wide range of health conditions from routine check-ups to complex diseases. They play a crucial role in preventive care and the management of intricate adult health issues, serving as the primary point of contact for coordinating various specialties as needed.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse in Internal Medicine, you are integral to the success of our operations and the compassionate care we provide to our patients daily.
STATUS: Full-Time
DEPARTMENT: Newark Internal Medicine
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday Days
ATTRIBUTES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patient Care & Service: Enhance and restore patients' health by executing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients and their families; supervise assigned team members.
- Medication Administration & Reporting: Administer medications and communicate relevant reports, both written and verbal, in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Documentation: Ensure precise, relevant, and complete documentation utilizing computerized medical record systems.
- Preparation: Maintain clinical areas with necessary supplies and ensure exam rooms are adequately stocked.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
PAY RANGE: $29.75
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
