Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech Therapist to join our dynamic team at The National Coalition of Healthcare Recruiters. This role involves providing comprehensive speech-language therapy services to enhance the communication abilities of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents to identify communication challenges and develop tailored therapy plans.
  • Perform audiometric screenings and recommend further audiology services as needed.
  • Implement speech-language therapy interventions in accordance with physician directives and maintain regular communication with healthcare providers.
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for all residents receiving therapy.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address the unique needs of residents and integrate therapy goals.
  • Participate in care planning meetings to discuss resident progress and therapy outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records, including statistical reports and budget information related to the therapy program.
  • Contribute to the development of in-service training programs for staff involved in resident care.
  • Review and update speech-language policies and procedures annually to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and standards to promote a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the quality of care and improve service delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid New York State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
