POSITION SUMMARY:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) delivers comprehensive speech and language therapy services to individuals experiencing a range of health conditions. As a vital contributor to both therapy and interdisciplinary teams, the SLP provides direct patient care, focusing on assessment and intervention in communication, cognitive function, and swallowing disorders. The SLP is responsible for educating and preparing patients, families, and caregivers for ongoing care following discharge.
Additionally, the SLP actively participates in a collaborative care model, offering support to fellow SLPs by sharing caseload responsibilities and assisting colleagues as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master's Degree from an accredited Speech/Language Pathology program is required. Candidates must possess clinical certification (CCC's) or be eligible to obtain CCC's from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience working with both adult and pediatric populations in a healthcare environment is preferred.
