Position Overview:

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a part-time role. This position involves working night shifts, specifically two 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough respiratory assessments and administer prescribed therapies promptly, tailored to age-specific needs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of prescribed therapies, adhering to established departmental guidelines.
  • Evaluate and accurately document the outcomes of respiratory therapy interventions based on age-specific criteria.
  • Set up, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation systems effectively.
  • Communicate progress and recommend adjustments in therapy modalities to physicians and nursing staff as per departmental protocols.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in obtaining and analyzing blood gas specimens in accordance with age-specific guidelines.
  • Perform skin testing accurately, assess results, and report findings promptly.
  • Maintain respiratory care equipment with precise documentation as required.
  • Provide accurate education to patients and their families, ensuring it is age-appropriate.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Current certification from the National Board of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Valid state license for practice.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Preferred:

  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Meditech and Microsoft Office applications.
