Job Title: Legal Secretary with Litigation Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Secretary with Litigation Experience to join our team at Less Temps LLC. As a key member of our legal support team, you will provide exceptional support to our attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of our litigation practice.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the creation of legal documents, editing, proofreading, and processing legal documents upon request of assigned attorneys. You will also be responsible for maintaining legal files, organizing and filing documents in designated order, and updating case information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the creation of legal documents, including correspondence, memoranda, closing documents, pleadings, and other practice-specific documents.
  • Handle multiple attorney case loads, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Maintain legal files, both paper and electronic, and organize and file documents in designated order.
  • Update case information, scan and organize legal files, and manage document deliveries and track final executed documentation.
  • Receive and evaluate telephone calls for supported attorneys, fielding calls and conveying messages as necessary, and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and liaisons.
  • Collaborate and work with Administrative Support Coordinators, Paralegals, and other legal support team members as applicable.
  • Attend team strategy meetings and understand firm available resources and leverage most effective resource for desired results.
  • Assist with overflow work and other special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 5 years of litigation experience within a law firm or other professional organization.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, as well as document management and other office technologies.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, or agency rules of assigned practice group/dept.
  • Experience with e-filing with both state and federal court.
