Deaf Communication Specialist

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team of Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpreters. As a Deaf Communication Specialist, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between Deaf and hearing individuals, providing accurate and reliable interpretation services.
About the Role:
- Effectively interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Maintain compliance with national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements, as applicable.
- Demonstrate full compliance with Sorenson standards and policies, FCC regulations, and the RID Code of Professional Conduct.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Be able to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the Video Relay Service industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately complete assigned tasks, projects, and paperwork promptly and within approved guidelines.
- Enhance interpreting skills through continued education and training.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to complete additional duties and assignments on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree, preferred but not required.
- Interpreter certification.
- Three years' experience working as an interpreter, preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass our required skills assessment.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, tools, and other computer components.
