This is a customer-facing role within the Employment Development Department, where you will be working with job seekers to provide in-person and virtual job search assistance, present workshops, and work with local employers to promote workforce development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide job search assistance to job seekers, including resume building, interview preparation, and job placement services.
  • Present workshops and training sessions to job seekers on topics such as job search strategies, resume writing, and interview skills.
  • Work with local employers to promote job openings and provide information on workforce development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the Employment Development Department to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to promote job search assistance and workforce development services.
Requirements
  • Bilingual Spanish language proficiency is required for this position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, job search assistance, or workforce development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
