Chelsoft Solutions Co is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Sybase database administration, including Unix background running and developing CRON jobs with command line experience.
  • Work with Sybase ASE and provide support for database-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with senior DBAs to reduce the overall time required per DBA and assist with tasks during after-hours implementations.
  • Help with weekly data fixes and other tasks that occur during the week.
  • Support SQL Server database administration, including Windows Server and SQL Server experience.
  • Work with clusters and Disaster Recovery in development, test, and production environments.
  • Migrate from Sybase to SQL Server and provide support for database-related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience with formal change control environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work with Unix, Sybase ASE, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with Windows Servers and clusters.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
