We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team at Jobot. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to drive financial operations and improve financial processes within our fast-paced, growth-oriented organization.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
- Prepare and present financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and manage prepaid expenses.
- Oversee project and job cost accounting, ensuring accurate cost allocation and timely reporting.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Liaise with our auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Coordinate with franchise and construction departments to provide financial insights and guidance.
- Lead and mentor accounting staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High proficiency in MS Office and accounting software and databases.
- Proven ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
