Metallurgist 2

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgist 2 to join our team at Shultz Steel LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, processing, and delivery of metallurgically correct products.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metallurgy, with experience in hot forming and forging of various materials, including titanium, aluminum, and steel alloys.

The Metallurgist 2 will be responsible for reviewing sales quotations, purchase orders, and customer specifications to ensure metallurgical and technical correctness. They will also be responsible for providing technical assistance to customers and shop personnel, and for participating in continuous improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, and will be able to apply advanced mathematical concepts to solve complex problems. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Review sales quotations, purchase orders, and customer specifications to ensure metallurgical and technical correctness

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent
• 5-8 years of experience in the forging industry or a closely related field
• Strong understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts to solve complex problems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
