Metallurgist 2

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgist 2 to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a Metallurgist 2, you will be responsible for planning, processing, and delivery of metallurgically correct products.

• Plan and execute hot forming and forging processes to produce high-quality aerospace materials.
• Develop and implement process control procedures to ensure consistency and quality in metal processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize metal processing techniques and improve product quality.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process procedures, technical reports, and specifications.

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in hot forming and forging, with a focus on aerospace materials.
• Strong knowledge of metal processing techniques, including hot forming, forging, and heat treatment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

This position requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with exposure to loud noises, heat, and other hazards. The successful candidate must be able to work safely and effectively in this environment.
