Job Summary

As a key member of the Purdue University team, you will play a crucial role in recruiting prospective students for the College of Science at the Indianapolis campus. This position requires collaboration with department and college-level personnel to boost program awareness, locate prospective students, generate interest, and enroll the number and quality of students needed to meet enrollment objectives.

About the Role

You will be responsible for building and executing a plan to provide exceptional service to potential students and their families. This includes being readily available to answer questions via email and phone, as well as ensuring that all needs are met for students and their families during in-person campus visits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to meet enrollment objectives
  • Collaborate with department and college-level personnel to boost program awareness and generate interest among prospective students
  • Provide exceptional service to potential students and their families, including answering questions via email and phone and ensuring that all needs are met during in-person campus visits
  • Manage a travel and recruitment budget to support recruitment efforts
  • Utilize CRM and Admissions Management Systems to track and manage recruitment activities
  • Foster an inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration with peers, departmental staff, faculty, students, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Two years of experience in student services, academic advising, or student recruiting
  • Experience developing and coordinating programs
  • General knowledge of customer service best-practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with prospective students and their families
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and overnight travel (up to 25%)
  • Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and Admissions Management Systems
