Senior Credit Research Analyst

Primary Purpose of the Position

The Senior Credit Research Analyst plays a pivotal role in evaluating specific sectors within the investment landscape. This position entails performing in-depth fundamental analysis and collaborating with Portfolio Managers to inform investment strategies that aim for superior risk-adjusted returns.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Execute independent, fundamental credit analysis on issuers within designated sector(s) to formulate investment recommendations that align with a comprehensive credit evaluation and relative value assessments.
  • Key research components encompass financial statement scrutiny, management evaluation, economic climate analysis, industry trends, and ESG considerations.
  • Aggregate and assess diverse information sources to create well-founded, long-term investment theses regarding sectors and issuers.
  • Utilize relationships with issuer stakeholders, industry experts, and fellow investment professionals to gain unique insights that enhance investment decision-making.
  • Effectively communicate investment recommendations both verbally and in writing to Portfolio Managers, other analysts, internal committees, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • MBA or a minimum of 3 years of experience in credit research.
  • A curious mindset that fuels analysis and leads to distinctive investment insights.
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities and familiarity with relative value investing.
  • Adaptable, team-oriented, and proactive personality with a strong attention to detail.
  • Openness to pursuing and exploring ideas and potential investment avenues, while supporting one's perspectives through constructive dialogue with Portfolio Managers and other Analysts.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic and occasionally high-pressure environment.

FINRA licenses are not necessary and will not be supported for this position.

Work Flexibility
This role permits remote work up to one day per week.

Regional Requirements:

Base salary range:

$175,000 - $275,000 USD

Placement within the provided range is contingent upon the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is merely one aspect of our comprehensive compensation package. Employees may qualify for a discretionary bonus, which is based on both company and individual performance.
