Job Title: Senior Hardware Engineer

Data Device Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing leading-edge communications technology for the aerospace, defense, and space industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop circuit card assemblies (CCAs) including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout support
  • Create and execute test plans, perform simulations, and validate hardware designs to ensure high performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, IP developers, and other stakeholders to integrate CCAs into larger systems
  • Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues during development and production phases
  • Analyze and improve circuit card designs for performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 8-15 years of experience in hardware design and development, including hands-on experience with complex projects that include FPGAs and Microcontrollers
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence Orcad, Cadence Allegro)
  • Proven experience in designing high-speed digital designs (e.g., PCI, PCIe, USB, and Thunderbolt)
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, signal integrity, power, and thermal management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with environmental testing standards (e.g., thermal, shock, and vibration)
  • Experience with MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429
  • Knowledge of Multi-Chip Module (MCM) designs
