Job Summary

Huron Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our leadership team as a Facilities Services Director. This key role will be responsible for providing direction, leadership, and supervision to the facility services team, ensuring the reliable operation of all systems and equipment, and preserving the organization's capital investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Plan, organize, direct, and administer all activities involved in the operation, maintenance, safety, and security of all facilities and grounds.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide direction, leadership, and supervision to the facility services team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Capital Investments: Preserve the organization's capital investments and coordinate activities within all areas of construction and remodeling.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Interpret policies, standards, regulations, and codes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: A minimum of an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) degree.
  • Experience: Five or more years of experience in hospital facilities management, plant operations, and/or property management services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of the legal and technical aspects of engineering specifications, building and safety regulations as they relate to healthcare facilities.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of federal, state, and local standards and codes, and the requirements of regulatory and accreditation agencies as they relate to healthcare facilities.
  • Communication Skills: Possesses good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with departmental and hospital staff, as well as outside vendors and suppliers.

  • Physical Stamina: Standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and other physical activities within the requirements of the job.
  • Visual, Auditory, and Speech Acuity: Visual, auditory, and speech acuity requisite to verbal and written communication required within the job's duties.
