Key Responsibilities:
- Embrace and promote the vision, mission, and values of Butler Machinery Company.
- Drive sales, rentals, and product support for all construction and agricultural equipment.
- Oversee store revenue and operating expenses to ensure sustainable profit margins.
- Analyze financial statements, market share data, and key performance indicators to identify and address variances.
- Manage customer account balances and assist with collections as necessary.
- Collaborate with the management team to set realistic and achievable goals and forecasts.
- Guide the store management team in establishing procedures, resolving issues, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the regional Product Support Manager and other department heads to ensure consistent policy application.
- Supervise sales personnel, including territory assignments, training, and sales funnel management.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Review orders for accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Foster a safe and clean work environment by promoting a strong safety culture.
- Ensure all associates receive regular safety and technical training.
- Participate in industry-related trade shows and associations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead the sales team, department managers, and support staff.
- Communicate and delegate responsibilities effectively to team members.
- Encourage career development through training, coaching, and mentorship.
- Ensure compliance with performance standards through regular evaluations and feedback.
- Recognize and reward employee performance to foster motivation and self-development.
Qualifications:
- Preferred leadership training or supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting and finance.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to coach and provide constructive feedback.
- Knowledge of the equipment industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Sales experience is advantageous.
- Management experience in a related field or a Bachelor's degree in business is required.
