Job Description

As a Senior Front-End Engineer at Multiscale Technologies, you'll be responsible for implementing the visual and interactive aspects of our web application or website, ensuring a functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing user interface (UI). You'll work closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers to bring design mockups to life and create seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the front-end of web applications and websites using modern web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Translate UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into interactive, functional, and responsive web pages.
  • Ensure high-quality and responsive user interfaces that work across various screen sizes, resolution, and devices (e.g., desktops, tablets, mobile devices).
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to refine and implement design details while considering technical feasibility.
  • Work with back-end developers to integrate front-end code with server-side logic, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality coding standards and share knowledge with the team.
  • Use modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries like React, Angular, and others to build scalable and maintainable front-end applications.
  • Follow best practices for state management, routing, and component-based architecture.
  • Test front-end code for functionality, performance, and visual accuracy across different browsers and devices using automated testing frameworks for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Debug front-end issues and provide quick, effective solutions.
  • Implement web accessibility standards (WCAG) to ensure the site or application is usable by all individuals, including those with disabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and 3+ years in the senior role.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React and Angular.
  • Understanding of front-end architecture and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TypeScript and component-driven architecture.
  • Knowledge of headless CMS platforms and API integration (e.g., GraphQL, REST).
  • Experience in using design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and design sensibility.
  • Problem-solving skills to quickly resolve bugs and technical challenges.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
