Recreational Therapist

Job Summary:

As a Recreational Therapist at SSM Health Physical Therapy, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing recreational activities for patients in our outpatient rehabilitation program. Your expertise in therapeutic recreation will help patients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement recreational activities for patients in accordance with organizational guidelines

Provide therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned caseload

Ensure all patients are oriented to recreation therapy and provide hospital-wide leisure, social, and divergent programs

Serve as an educator to patients on community resources

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required

Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligible to take exam required
