ROLE OVERVIEW | YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS
  • Guide the enhancement of computer science and technology education courses, both core and elective, to enrich our existing S.T.E.A.M. educational framework.
  • Possess expertise in various domains of technology education, including but not limited to: online safety, digital citizenship, programming languages, software and hardware design, graphic and web design, digital marketing, photography, artificial intelligence, and 3-D printing.
  • Create individualized education program (IEP) objectives for students and participate in relevant meetings when feasible.
  • Accurately document and analyze student data and progress.
  • Design and modify lesson plans to align with the curriculum effectively.
  • Employ designated teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student assignments.
  • Manage classroom dynamics and monitor student behavior.
  • Engage in weekly staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
  • Conduct assessments of students as required.
  • Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress and achievements.
  • Execute administrative responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS | YOUR SKILLS
  • 1 to 3 years of experience teaching middle and high school students.
  • Experience in educating students who may need tailored instruction and may face emotional or learning challenges.
  • Must possess or be eligible for a Connecticut teacher certification, with the capability to cross-endorse in Computer Science or Technology Education for grades 7-12; dual certification in Computer Science/Technology Education and Special Education is advantageous.
