Job Overview

This position offers a distinctive chance to manage and gain insight into all facets of fleet oversight within the dynamic environment of Indoor Karting. Ideal candidates are those with a background in automotive mechanics or technology, particularly those with a passion for drones, microcontrollers, and automation, complemented by professional experience in automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assembly, inspections, and evaluations of karts before operational hours.
  • Plan, organize, and execute preventive maintenance on karts and associated service equipment.
  • Document and perform all safety inspections in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Execute all manufacturer-recommended inspections on a daily, weekly, and annual basis.
  • Continuously monitor and report on fleet performance to management through regular assessments.
  • Maintain precise records of inspections, repairs, parts inventory, and labor hours.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of shop tools and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kart shop and service areas.
  • Perform specific cleaning and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Verify the safe operation of karts and equipment by staff.
  • Complete nightly closing duties to secure the shop and prepare for the next day.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capacity to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Skill in interpreting various forms of instructions including written, oral, and diagrams.
  • Aptitude for solving practical problems in standardized situations.
  • Ability to identify issues, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficiency in using data to predict and prevent equipment failures.
Language Proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
  • Competence in writing clearly with appropriate spelling and grammar.
  • Capability to provide clear verbal and written instructions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Completion of an automotive service technician training program or an associate degree is preferred.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) certification is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
